Passion and Reason to Tie Flies

Recently I came across a short statement, while reading the Art of the Trout Fly by Judith Dunham, which explains why many tiers, including myself, never get tired of tying flies.“..the tying of flies does not occur only at the fly tying vise, and the pursuit of trout not only on the stream. The challenges and pleasures of fly tying and fly fishing are lived over and over in the mind with the tools and vision of the imagination.”
