Fly Tying Roundtable

Update

Here are a couple of shots from the event on December 20:

Roundtable Event Notes:

Hollow Fleye fly
Hollow Fleye

Join us at the Roundtable on Wednesday, December 20th for a session featuring Bill Kulp as our guest tier. For those who were at our November meeting you got to see the many fish that Bill boated on the Chesapeake Bay. Now you can learn to tie the “hollow fleye”, one of the flies Bill claims is a positive producer on the Bay! All materials will be supplied by the club so bring your equipment and enjoy an evening of tying this fly with Bill Kulp.

We had a record number of 16 participants at this event! Thanks to all who participated. Here are a few images from the session:

This month the Beginners fly tying will be held on December 18th. The fly chosen for that session will be Mike’s Everything Nymph which was featured in the winter 2017 issue of Fly Tyer.

Mike Hogue, the author and seemingly the developer of the fly describes his nymph as ‘One Fly That Does It All’.

Join us at 7:00pm at Trinity United Methodist off West Patrick Street in Frederick. There is no charge for this session.

Both the Beginner and Roundtable sessions are held at 7 p.m. on the respective dates at Trinity United Methodist off West Patrick Street in Frederick. Tying equipment is available for the Beginner sessions and fly tying materials are provided for both sessions.
