Upcoming Outings: April/May 2018

Outings planned for April and May

Here’s a description of the outings:

Little Seneca Lake: On Sunday, April 22nd, we will have an outing to Little Seneca Lake at Black Hills Regional Park in Boyds, MD. Bill Kulp will be our guide. This will be a float trip so bring your kayak or canoe. Start time is still to come.

Gunpowder River: On Thursday afternoon, May 17th, we will fish the Gunpowder River in northern Baltimore County, MD and the Sulphur hatch.

If you are interested in either outing, just send me an email. Thanks – Larry, lbforte@verizon.net

Club Outing to Town Creek

On Sunday, March 18th, 12 of us made the trip to Town Creek for a late winter outing. Town Creek is a beautiful stream just south of Flintstone, MD located in Green Ridge State Forest. The weather was perfect and the stream was recently stocked. Plus, we had the stream to ourselves. It was a great turnout and we had fun. Unfortunately, the trout did not cooperate.
Not many fish were caught. Congratulations to Steve Weinstein who found a “honey hole” at the end of the day. He won’t say how many he caught, but my guess is at least 10!
