On Thursday, June 14th, 8 Club members made the trip to Northern Baltimore County and fished the Gunpowder River. First, was a stop at Backwater Angler Fly Shop in Hereford and to talk with Gene Howson, our guest speaker from this past February’s Meeting. He hooked us up with his secret flies and we were off! We fished the Bunker Hill access area. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, but the fishing was a challenge. The Sulphur hatch was coming to an end and there were few rising fish, not to mention having to deal with the occasional kayaker & swimmers.
