Monofilament Fishing Line Recycling

Fishing line that is left along waterways is hazardous to fish, birds, turtles and other wildlife.

There are three fishing line recycling containers along Catoctin Creek. Unfortunately these containers end up littered with everything but fishing line.

We kindly request that when you plan a trip to our Home Waters bring a bag and let’s keep these containers free of trash. For more information, please visit the Boat U.S. Foundation at www.boatus.org/monofilament/

In that same light, below is a link to yet another documentary on Fly-fishing icon, Joe Humphreys. This film was brought to my attention by my sister in-law who attended Penn State. Please visit www.livethestreamfilm.com/
