Growing up, I was taught to cut up the “six pack” soda holders to prevent them from harming wildlife. Birds, turtles, fish and other wildlife have been killed by these soda and beer holders. Frank Bentz Pond to be Removed
Many of us young and old have fished at Frank Bentz Pond right outside of Thurmont. The pond is stocked annually with trout and is a popular spot for younger anglers just learning to fish. It has been determined that the dam is unsafe and needs to be removed. Read the Frederick News Post article to learn more.
