Project Healing Waters: Getting Ready for the Season

I am extremely happy to report that we are finally back on the water. On April 22, the PHWFF chapter was able to get out to the Monocacy and fish.  Although no records were broken, it’s just good to be back on the water. With an ever growing list of outings, it is shaping up to be a great year. If anyone has any ideas for future outings or knows a guy who knows a guy, please pass the information along to Rob Morgan or Steve Weinstein.

In addition to getting back on the water, the rod building has been going exceptionally well this year with almost all veterans near the finish line. There is nothing quite like catching fish using flies you tied but it is a whole other feeling when you catch them with a rod you built yourself.

If you have any questions or would like to participate in any of our upcoming fly tying sessions at Fort Detrick, please reach out to me at any time at andrewfrutiger@yahoo.com or go to our Facebook page at Project Healing Waters — Frederick Chapter.
