CLUB MEETING — Salmon and Steelhead Fishing in New York

At our next meeting, on Tuesday, October 11th, Dan Neuland, club member and local outdoor writer, will share with us his tips and recommendations on where and how to catch salmon, steelhead, and large browns in New York this fall.

The New York State tributaries of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie are fall destinations for trophy-sized steelhead, salmon, and brown trout. Dan will share his knowledge and experience pursuing these lake-run fish in his home state of New York. Locations include Oak Orchard, Salmon River, Cattaragus Creek, and other smaller tributaries.

Dan will talk about how to prepare for a trip, including gear and fly selection, as well as the challenges these prized species present.

It will be a fun night. You don’t want to miss it. See you on the 11th.
