At our next meeting on October 10th, we welcome Kate Fritz, CEO for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. This organization is dedicated to restoring the Chesapeake Bay’s rivers and streams through partnerships, collaboration, and individual and community stewardship.
In 1971, a group of concerned citizens, representing business, agriculture, conservation, academia, and government began gathering to discuss the declining “state of the Bay” and a lack of political commitment to address it. Fifty years later, the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is one of the oldest and well-respected non-profits working throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
