Club members: Join us for monthly beginner’s fly tying classes hosted by Don Fine. During these tying sessions, Don features a new seasonal fly pattern that builds upon previous lessons. Check our events listing or the PVFF newsletter for the latest fly pattern.
Our in-person meetings are at Trinity United Methodist Church in Frederick, Maryland. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Registration is NOT REQUIRED. If you have a vise and tying equipment, bring it to the session. If you don’t have a vise or tying equipment, we have loaner equipment available. All tying materials are provided during the class.
For those of you cannot attend our monthly in-person tying sessions, we provide online instructions for every fly we tie. We also provide video demonstration of some popular flies that you find on our YouTube channel. You will find all materials archived here: ‘Beginner’s Fly Tying.’
