What an exciting time, on Tuesday, October 23rd, as we kicked off the first of many Project Healing Waters (PHW) – Frederick Program – events (Project Healing Waters Frederick Program Press Release). We had a great turnout of enthusiastic volunteers as we welcomed 3 new members to the program. Although 2 of the veterans were already PVFF members, Deme, a recent transfer to the area from Texas, was brand new and excited to get started. The night included an introduction to the program and its goal of healing, demonstrations in fly tying, exhibitions of fly fishing gear and rod building, as well as some excellent food.

As we continue to grow the Frederick Program, we are asking for your help as we continue to encourage as many eligible veterans as possible to experience the benefits of the program. Any introductions or suggestions are always greatly appreciated.

Our next PHW Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 27th in Room 207 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 West Patrick Street in Frederick.
