Beginner’s Fly Tying Class: Jan. 21, 2019

By Don Fine
Japanese Tenkara Nymph

The first Beginner’s Fly Tying session for 2019 will be held on Monday, January 21st at 7:00 PM. Donald Lee will lead the tying session that evening. The Fly pattern Donald has chosen will either be the “Frenchie”, a nymph developed by Lance Egan or a Japanese Tenkara Nymph.

Donald recommends either of these flies for Brook and Rainbow Trout fishing, not only in early season, but throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall.

As has been customary in past months the PVFF will provide all tying materials to tie these flies and if you do not have your own fly tying equipment, a set will be provided for use that evening. We will again meet in Room 207 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 West Patrick Street, Frederick.
