Brook Trout Regulations
The Maryland DNR Fisheries service recently adopted new brook trout regulations. Search online for “Flylords brook trout Maryland” to review a recent article in Flylords magazine to learn what’s new.

Stream Temperature Monitoring
PVFF is currently in the process of purchasing two temperature loggers that will be installed in Fishing creek and Big Hunting creek this spring. Our club will be partnering with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Service to install and collect stream temperature data.
The temperature loggers will be deployed in late spring (May) and then record stream temperature at 20 minute intervals throughout the summer (June 1 – August 31). We will then retrieve the loggers in the fall (September) and the data will be downloaded to a computer and evaluated by the DNR Fisheries Service.
